Fundraising Objective
St Mary's Middle School is looking to raise £150 to buy some tools to enable our pupils to undertake gardening activities as part of their outdoor Learning experience.
Background to the Project
Last year we managed to secure a grant of £5,000 from the Ernest Cook Trust to turn a patch of derelict land into a school garden that is both a haven of tranquility where students can relax and / or eat their lunch. We are now looking to raise money to enable the garden tobe maintained by our students.
Benefits of the Project
Our students will learn some important gardening skills as well as an apprciation of the environment. Furthermore in the spring and summer the garden can serve as a tranquil learning environment.
