Bannockburn Manor Way Playground

Situated in Plumstead, SE London, Bannockburn Primary School has very high aspirations for its pupils, their families and the local community. Every single child at Bannockburn is given the opportunity to achieve its very best. We pride ourselves on providing the very best learning experiences, making learning fun, practical and engaging.

We are currently in the process of expanding from a one-and-a-half form entry school in Plumstead High Street to a three-and-a-half form entry school and have extended to include a second site in Church Manor Way, Abbey Wood - a former secondary school which has been extensively refurbished to accomodate our new pupils and staff.

Children often learn best out of doors. We have two Forest Schools, several large, raised vegetable beds, a mini orchard and take every opportunity for outside trips. Unfortunately, the refurbishment left us with just enough money for a fresh layer of tarmac in the Manor Way playground. We are now looking to raise £30,000 for a multi-use games and sports area, trim trails and climbing equipment, outdoor musical instruments, a stage and, last but not least, playground markings.

Of course, we are more than willing to publicise sponsorship and any other form on funding.
